With the Fender American Elite Precision Bass EB Satin Ice Blue Metallic, the traditional Californian manufacturer presents the revised top model of the popular electric bass classic. This four-string combines the traditional Precision heritage with sophisticated features that make life easier, especially for the modern bassist. These include the variable pickup assembly with active 3-band electronics and the innovative compound profile of the neck.
The alder body and the screwed maple neck with maple fingerboard follow the Fender American Elite Precision Bass of the design established in 1951, but feature many modern details. The neck pocket is rounded for easy access to the high layers, while the neck has an innovative compound shaping. The profile changes from a round "C" to a flat "D", while the fretboard radius increases from 9.5 inches to 14 inches, enabling comfortable and fatigue-free bass playing.
In addition to the Fender Elite Split Coil in the middle, which provides the typical grumpy-middle Preci sound, the Fender American Elite Precision Bass is equipped with a Fender 4th Generation Noiseless Single Coil on the bridge, which expands the sound spectrum of the bass with present wire sound characters. In addition, an active 3-band tone control is available, with which the sound can be precisely adjusted. The equalizer always works musically, so that even extreme settings produce melodious results. The bass can also be used passively to achieve classic sound nuances.

Accordingly, the Fender HiMass Vintage bridge sits on the body, which supports the lively sound character of the bass with its solid construction and string guidance through the body. At the same time, four individually adjustable string riders enable precise intonation and comfortable string positioning. On the headstock of the Precision Bass, four Fender lightweight Vintage tuners behind the bone saddle provide an exact tuning.

Ik ben altijd wat terughoudend geweest tov PJ bassen. Vlees noch vis vond ik dat altijd. Deze bas is echter andere koek. Passief op het halselement heb je een oer Precision in je handen. Actief gaat de bas "open" en komt er een heel palet aan klankmogelijkheden naar boven. Deze bas klinkt als een klok! Daarnaast speelt ie ook erg lekker en makkelijk met zijn hals die van "C" naar "D" shape verloopt. Bas speelt bijna vanzelf.
