The FENDER American Original 60s Stratocaster RW Shell Pink follows the basic structure of the mature Strat of the sixties without neglecting contemporary demands of today's players. Despite classic sixties appointments, the higher vintage tall fret wire and a larger 9.5" fretboard radius accommodate expressive lead playing. Three Pure Vintage '65 Gray Bottom Single Coils produce coveted Strat sounds from neck to bridge position, while classic vintage finishes and sixties hardware appointments provide the authentic look of the FENDER American Original 60s Stratocaster RW Shell Pink.

Thick C Neck

As the Stratocaster became more and more a lead instrument besides the classic chord playing, the neck profile changed from the classic V to the thick C shape. 21 frets in a higher Vintage Tall format and a fretboard radius of 9.5" specifically address modern playing techniques and invite classic lead playing on the entire fretboard.

Pure Vintage '65 Single Coils

For the authentic sound of the '60s Strat, Fender uses authentic ingredients of the era for the Pure Vintage '65 Gray Bottom Single Coils: enameled winding wire, Alnico V magnets and waxed coils. All three pickups provide a Strat sound with strong character and a flexible tonal setup between neck, middle and bridge.
