Pine body with 2-colour Sunburst finish
Unlike the regular models in the American Performer series, the body of the Fender American Performer Timber Telecaster RW 2-Colour Sunburst is made of pine. The body wood used for the first Telecaster models back in the early 1950s not only has unique sound characteristics but also gives the instrument an appealing visual appearance. Last but not least, the satin finish of the body provides a particularly smooth armrest for unrestricted playability.
Yosemite single coils with Alnico 4 & Alnico 5 magnets
The Fender American Performer Timber Telecaster has two Yosemite single coils in the neck and bridge position for sound conversion. The single coils known from the instruments of the American Performer series are particularly popular among Tele fans due to their special mix of Alnico 4 and Alnico 5 magnets, as they not only produce the unmistakable twang, but also provide a particularly versatile sound. Thanks to their ideally matched coil windings, both pickups complement each other perfectly as soon as they are played together in the middle switch position.
