The Fender Custom Shop '57 Champ Relic Tweed "Saved From Fire" is part of a strictly limited to ten amp series, in which the Fender Master Builder Jim Dolmage and Shawn Greene create unique tube combos with Relic Finish based on individual, fictional background stories. For the "Saved From Fire" champ, this means that he was rescued from a burning house by his owner and suffered superficial burns to his tweed cover, which he now proudly displays. The Relic finish, lovingly crafted to the last detail, also conceals a first-class amp with an enlarged case made of solid pine, hand-wired full-tube circuitry and a Celestion Greenback 10" version that delivers first-class sounds.

Enlarged housing and hand-wired circuit

For the Fender Custom Shop '57 Champ Relic Tweed "Saved From Fire", the Fender Custom Shop relies on an enlarged solid pine case with finger-tipping and a hand-wired circuit with two 12AX7 tubes, a 6V6 tube and Fender Vintage "Yellow" capacitors. In combination with the moderate 5 Watt power and the Celestion G10 Greenback, the compact amplifier turns out to be a first-class recording and practice amp that reacts to the player with lively dynamics and delivers first-class blues sounds with its creamy overdrive.
