The Fender Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass RW White Pearl is inspired by the iconic '80s Jazz Bass Special that the Guns N’ Roses bassist used during the recording of the multi-platinum album Appetite for Destruction. This updated version retains the classic design but adds a range of thoughtful features for the modern rocker. The four-string bass sports an alder body with classic contours, while the bolt-on maple neck with its comfortable “C”-shaped profile offers ideal playability for delivering powerful grooves. A classic split-coil pickup in the middle position delivers a punchy tone with growling low mids, while the Seymour Duncan Hot Stack Jazz Bass single-coil at the bridge adds a hot output and cutting presence. Tone shaping is further enhanced by the passive Fender TBX Tone Control, which from its center detent either rolls off treble or boosts both bass and treble frequencies for added clarity and depth. Rounding things out, the Fender Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass also features a Hipshot Bass Xtender, allowing the low E string to be dropped to D with precise tuning at the flip of a lever.
