Jason Smith uses proven ingredients for the construction of his Fender Garage Mod Strat. Accordingly, an ash body is hidden under the artificially aged nitro paint, while the screwed neck is made in one piece from maple. The slim "Mid '60s Style Oval C" profile and the compound radius of the fingerboard ensure contemporary playing comfort.

Seymour Duncan Humbucker with versatile circuit

The Fender Heavy Relic Garage Mod Strat uses a single Seymour Duncan '78 Model Humbucker on the bridge. Equipped with Alnico II magnets and AWG 42 wire, they deliver a hot vintage sound that is made for classic rock. A special feature here is the Underdrive Capacitor, which delivers a passive overdrive in the style of dirty '60s fuzz sounds. In addition, a 1 pF capacitor can be activated on the rear coil of the humbucker. The following sound variations can be called up via the 5-way switch:
