The Fender Tomatillo Stratocaster Pickup Set is Fender a pickup set wound by nobody less than Josefina Campos, the pickup guru. The hand-wound Set version combines the complete Fender know-how of Abigail Ybarra and presents a unique pickup combination with Alnico II magnets, which creates the authentic sound of aged Alnico V magnets from the fifties. In the style of the Ancho Poblano and El Diablo pickups, the Tomatillo Set stays clear and pure and adds a certain amount of high chime to the sound. All three pickups are signed by Josefina Campos, while an additional certificate with the signature of Custom Shop Director Chris Fleming confirms the authenticity of the set.
