Accordingly, the limited edition Custom Shop electric guitar incorporates many authentic design elements of the era and draws on numerous components crafted according to the historic Mid Fifties recipe. Strat body made of ash

For the choice of body wood, the Custom Shop team decided to use particularly high-quality ash wood. This wood, favored for its excellent sound characteristics and pleasant weight point, is one of the classic wood choices for Strat bodies of the Fifties and Sixties and forms a suitable tonal basis for typical wiry Strat sounds. As a neck material, however, radially sawn maple (Rift Sawn Maple) is used, which is particularly appreciated by its straight grain and the resulting stability.

Hand-Wound '55 Single Coils & Fat '50s Wiring.

For the raw, untamed sound of 1950s Strats, the Fender Limited Edition '55 Stratocaster Relic MN Aged '55 Desert Tan #CZ558338 features three Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55 Strat Single Coils. The hand-wound single coils from the Fender Custom store use classic materials and winding techniques to get as close as possible to the irrepressible character of the vintage Strat. All three pickups are wired via a Fat '50s Wiring, which always preserves the treble content in the signal even when the volume control is rolled down.

Aged Gold Hardware & Relic Aging

In the style of an original played over the decades, the Relic Ag ing of the Aged '55 Desert Tan finish presents typical authentic wear marks at the usual contact points. For example, the upper armrest of the body already shows through heavily grained ash wood, while the finish of the fingerboard has classic finger marks in the most frequently used positions. Completing the look of the Limited Edition '55 Stratocaster Relic MN Aged '55 Desert Tan #CZ558338 is a similarly artificially aged Aged Gold finish on the hardware parts.
