The construction of the Limited Edition '57 Stratocaster Relic relies on excellent tonewoods and historically authenticated construction. Underneath the artificially aged nitrocellulose finish, which conveys the look and feel of a frequently played vintage guitar, there is accordingly a two-piece "Contour Body" made of alder, which not only lies against the body with optimal balance, but is also glued with historically correct offset joints. In addition, the neck made of high-quality Rift Sawn Maple with the "'57 Soft V" profile offers surprisingly comfortable playing characteristics, so that any playing technique can be implemented with ease on the 21-fret fingerboard.
Versatile sound spectrum
With a Custom Shop '57 Strat single coil in the neck position, a Custom Shop Fat '50s RWRP single coil in the middle and a powerful Custom Shop Texas Special single coil at the bridge, the Limited Edition '57 Stratocaster Relic covers the entire spectrum of classic Strat sounds between glassy cleans with lively dynamics and crisp Overdrive with well-dosed bite. The pickups are controlled via a 5-way switch and the "Fat '50s Wiring", which promises particularly smooth treble roll-offs with the two tone controls.
