A successful Custom Shop interpretation of the legendary Telecaster, the Fender Limited Edition Tomatillo Tele Journeyman Relic MN Natural Blonde combines authentic vintage styling with subtle but smart detail solutions to create a luxurious all-around guitar for just about any genre between country, blues, jazz or rock. While the two-piece slab body made of ash promises the familiar Tele feeling, the bolt-on Rift-Sawn-Maple neck with "Soft V" profile and Vintage Compund radius is especially comfortable in the hand. Hand-wound Custom Shop Tomatillo single coils and the tradition-conscious Modified Nocaster Wiring with blend control elicit top-notch clean and overdrive tones from the guitar amp, while the bridge pickup, with the bass pole pieces facing the bridge, promises a balanced sound without denying the typical Tele twang. While a Reverse Nocaster bridge with compensated tailpieces and Vintage-Style tuners complete the features of the Custom Shop Tomatillo Tele, the Nitro-Finish with Journeyman Relic conveys the authentic feel of a well-kept original from the golden era of the electric guitar.
The Fender Limited Edition Tomatillo Tele Journeyman Relic MN Natural Blonde convinces with the successful combination of a tradition-conscious styling and modern detail solutions.
In addition to the two-piece slab body made of ash, the Tomatillo Tele features a comfortable soft-V neck made of Rift Sawn Maple.
Vintage style and comfortable handling
Despite its extremely traditional look, which is determined by the lovingly executed Journeyman Finish with the detailed playing marks of a well-protected vintage Tele, the Limited Edition Tomatillo Tele convinces with a comfortable handling that more than does justice to modern playing techniques. In addition to the two-piece ash body in classic "slab body style", the electric guitar features a bolt-on, one-piece maple neck with standing annual rings (Rift Sawn Maple), which fits comfortably in the hand thanks to the pleasantly powerful "'57 StyleSoft V" profile and the vintage compound radius that increases from 7.25" to 9.5".
Hand-wound Tomatillo single coils with Alnico II magnets and '51 Modified Nocaster Wiring promise rich vintage tones.
Tomatillo Single Coils and Modified Nocaster Wiring
As pickup for the Limited Edition Tomatillo Tele the FenderCustom store chooses two handwound Tomatillo Single Coils. The underwound single coils equipped with Alnico II magnets convince at the guitar amplifier with a tasteful vintage sound, which is perfect for traditional clean and overdrive sounds due to the lively dynamics and the typical Fender chime. The reverse bridge pickup, whose bass pole pieces point towards the bridge compared to the regular Telecaster, promises a well-balanced sound without denying the usual twang. The pickups are managed by the '51 Modified Nocaster Wiring. While in switch positions 2 and 3 the neck pickup is available alone or with a fixed bass preset, in position 3 the signals of both pickups can be mixed continuously with each other via the blend control. In addition, the electric guitar comes with a second control assembly with Fat '50s Wiring and the modern control scheme of 3-way pickup switch and general volume and tone pots.
On the headstock of the Tomatillo Tele, vintage-style tuners ensure accurate and stable tuning.
