High Quality Ash & Quarter Sawn Maple

In the tradition of the classic Stratocaster, the Limited Poblano Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic Aged Black also follows the proven recipe and is composed of a two-piece alder body, whose halves were selected with special attention to sound and appearance. For the strong maple neck with the traditional U-profile of the year 1951, radially sawn maple (Quarter Sawn Maple) is used, which is particularly resistant to deformation due to its special cut and has standing annual rings.

Custom Shop Ancho Poblano Single Coils with Vintage Modified #2 Wiring

For tone transformation, the Fender Limited Poblano Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic Aged Black uses three namesake Custom Shop Hand-Wound Poblano Single Coils. Named after the popular Mexican pepper species, the single coils are calibrated to their respective positions and offer a wide range of possible tones. The Vintage Modified #2 Wiring also plays a special role here, providing the bridge pickup with a separate tone control to tame overly harsh highs.

Vintage-style hardware and Super Relic finish

Both the parts and the Finish of this limited edition Custom Shop Stratocaster present classic vintage character. A vintage-style Strat tremolo with six single riders is used, while the headstock is equipped with six vintage-style die-cast tuners. Matching the hardware, the instrument comes with a Super Heavy Relic Aged Black finish that showcases numerous and heavy playing marks of a true workhorse. The tremolo cover plate is not installed at the factory, but is included with the instrument including mounting screws.
