The maple neck in a slim modern 'C' profile has a smooth satin finish on the back of the neck for unhindered changes of position, while 22 medium jumbo frets in a modern 9.5" radius are provided on the front.

As a classic Strat, the Fender Player II Stratocaster MN Black offers the full Strat spectrum of potential sounds and presents itself as an absolute all-rounder that is at home in almost any genre. To achieve this, the electric guitar from the Player II series uses three Fender Player Series Alnico V single coils in the neck, middle and bridge positions, which produce crystal-clear highs and lively mids and open up a wide dynamic range. The three single coils can be combined with each other in the classic manner via the five switching positions of the blade switch.
