The alder body with offset waist and supple contours fits the player comfortably. The bolt-on maple neck in Modern C profile together with the Pau Ferro fretboard with 12" radius and rounded flanks provide a buttery smooth playability of all strings, so that every groove goes off with ease.

At the bass amplifier, two Fender Player Plus Noiseless Single Coil pickups deliver a wide-ranging sound that not only precisely integrates the low B-string into the sound pattern, but also remains free of ambient noise thanks to the pickup's special construction. While the middle pickup offers a deep yet transparent sound, the bridge pickup delivers an assertive sound with a wiry presence. In addition to the blend control for smooth mixing of both pickups, the electric Bass features an active 3-band tone control for precise adjustment of the sound. The Player Plus Jazz Bass V can also be set to traditional passive mode via the mini switch. The extremely robust HiMass Bridge not only supports the balanced sound of the bass guitar, but also guarantees exact adjustment of intonation and string position.
