TheFender Quantum LT 16 is a USB-C audio interface for anyone who wants to record not just a single song, but an entire band, a drum kit with multiple microphones, or a hybrid setup combining hardware and a DAW. With 16 inputs and 8 outputs, the interface is clearly aimed at ambitious studios, rehearsal rooms with recording requirements and producers who like to keep everything wired up at the same time. It’s all about clarity, sound quality and a workflow that doesn’t slow you down, but keeps pace with you.
At the heart of the unit are eight newly developed MAX HD microphone preamps. With up to 75 dB of gain, they are ideally suited to dynamic microphones and quiet signals. Vocals, acoustic guitars, overheads or complex multi-microphone set-ups can be captured cleanly and in rich detail without hitting the gain limit. The sound remains open, controlled and pleasantly neutral – exactly what you’d want as a basis for later processing.
In addition to the microphone inputs, the Quantum LT 16 offers a total of 14 analogue line inputs. Synthesisers, drum machines, external preamps or a small mixing desk can be permanently connected without having to constantly switch cables. Particularly handy is the combination of combo sockets on the front panel and TRS line inputs on the rear panel, with switchable +4 dBu or -10 dBV levels. In addition, there are two dedicated instrument inputs on the front panel for guitar and bass. The high-impedance DI inputs are directly matched to the MAX HD preamp and capture even passive pickups cleanly and dynamically, without the need for an additional DI box.

The interface can do more than just USB audio. In Mic Pre Mode, the Quantum LT 16 functions as a standalone 8-channel microphone preamp without the need for a computer. Ideal for hybrid set-ups, live recording or as an extension to an existing audio interface. There is also a Mixer Mode, which allows the device to be used as a digital mixer even without a DAW. This is a real bonus, particularly for rehearsal rooms or fixed installations.
With DC-coupled line outputs, the Quantum LT 16 bridges the gap to the modular world. Control voltages can be sent directly from the DAW to analogue synthesisers. It also features classic 5-pin MIDI I/O for keyboards, drum machines and sequencers. For streaming, content creation or recording tutorials, loopback audio is also on board, seamlessly integrated and requiring no external software solutions.
The package includes a lifetime licence for Fender Studio Pro, including exclusive Mustang and Rumble plugins. This means the Quantum LT 16 is ready to use straight away, whether for recording, mixing or songwriting.
Whether for multitrack recording, a hybrid setup or extensive hardware integration, the Fender Quantum LT 16 is an audio interface that grows with you. It’s designed for musicians and producers who take their setup seriously and are looking for a stable, sonically clean foundation. No frills – just a tool that will stay in your rack for a long time and simply does the job.
