The Fender Vintage Custom 1950 Pine Esquire Journeyman Relic Aged Cimarron Red is a recreation of the original 1950 Esquire, authentic down to the smallest detail. Accordingly, this electric guitar has a 1.5" thick "sandwich style" body made of pine, while the bolt-on rift-sawn maple neck is made without a truss rod. The strong "1950 Esquire U" neck profile and the compound fretboard radius that increases from 7.25" to 9.5" guarantee comfortable playability with authentic vintage feel. Placed at the bridge, the Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound '50 - '51 Blackguard Single-Coil delivers crisp vintage sounds with plenty of twang and brilliant tonal reproduction, with the full-throttle Esquire circuitry for precise tonal control.
