Alder body & Rift Sawn Maple Neck

The choice of wood for the Fender Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster RW Fiesta Red #R141823 remains true to the classic recipe. Accordingly, a two-piece alder body and a high-quality Rift Sawn Maple neck are used. With its 1959 C backshape, this reflects the traditional design of the late 1950s, although the rosewood fingerboard has a compound radius that increases from the classic 7.25-inch radius to a modern 9.5-inch radius. This means that both near the nut and in the higher registers, there is always a suitable basis for carefree playability.

Hand-wound custom store pickups

It goes without saying that Fender only uses hand-wound single coils for the Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster RW Fiesta Red #R141823. These are called Custom Shop Hand-Wound '59 Strat Single-Coils and give the instrument its authentic voice with untamed highs and a pronounced mid-range. The three single coils are connected via a pickup selector switch with five switching positions, a master volume and two separate tone controls, which are available for treble attenuation if required.
