Ash body with transparent finish.
The iconic body design of the instrument is made of two selected pieces of high quality ash. Here, the transparent Faded Natural Blonde nitrocellulose finish provides a glimpse of the contrasting grain of the tonewood, popular for its light weight and classic resonance characteristics. For the picking hand, meanwhile, the fat 1959 D neck profile of the one-piece maple neck and a compound radius that rises from 7.25 to 9.5 inches provide the tried-and-true feel of the early Esquire models of the 1950s.

Handwound '58 Tele Single Coil.
Following the straightforward design of the Esquire, the FenderVintageCustom '59 Esquire MN Faded Natural Blonde #R119087 relies on a single single coil pickup in the bridge position. This uses a Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound '58 Tele single coil pickup that evokes classic Telecaster qualities and is up for any fun. Of course, a historically correct Esquire wiring is also used, which optionally adds the tone control or activates a fixed Treble roll-off in switch position 3.
Vintage style Telecaster bridge.
The single coil of the FenderVintageCustom '59 Esquire MN Faded Natural Blonde #R119087 is surrounded by a Fender 3-Saddle Vintage-Style Tele Bridge, which have a significant influence on the sound of the instrument. Here, the three brass tailpieces and the resonant baseplate of the hardtail bridge play an important castor in the resonance transmission of the strings into the body. Completing the VintageCustom '59 Esquire are six vintage-style tuners and a single Wing String Tree on the headstock.
