Yngwie Malmsteen is the prototype of the neoclassical shredder and caused a sensation in the rock scene in the eighties with his rapid lead playing. For this, the Swedish fretboard high-flyer always relied on modified Stratocaster models, which provided him with the right basis for top performances in terms of playing technique. The Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster matches Yngwie's favorite instruments down to the smallest detail and offers the look, feel and sound of the original. To achieve this, the Fender USA facility in Corona, California relies on original specifications and dimensions, while Yngwie Malmsteen's signature pickups provide authentic sounds. including case and certificate!
Custom C-neck with scalloped frets
The absolute technical highlight of the Yngwie Malmsteen is clearly its special neck, which is based on Yngwie's original Stratocaster models. It is made of maple and has a special custom C-profile, which provides the perfect basis for sophisticated playing. In addition, the scalloping of the 21 frets in super-jumbo format ensures absolute freedom of grip, as the fingertip does not come into contact with the fretboard wood, allowing techniques such as vibratos and bendings to be performed in a particularly controlled and resistance-free manner.
Seymour Duncan YJM Fury Stacked Single-Coils
In order to keep up with Yngwie Malmsteen's flowing legato style in terms of sound, three of his specially wound pickups from the market leader Seymour Duncan are naturally used. The two Seymour Duncan YJM Fury single coils in neck and middle position provide the ideal balance of mid-range and high-end with transparent string separation. The hotter wound YJM Fury bridge single-coil completes the pickup configuration with increased output to create a balanced setup and provide enough power for present distortion sounds when required.
