Excellent stereo imaging thanks to coaxial system
The Fluid Audio FX80 V2 is a coaxial studio monitor designed for professional audio applications, delivering highly detailed sound reproduction. Featuring an 8-inch paper cone woofer and a 1.2-inch silk dome tweeter housed centrally within the same axis, its coaxial design creates a single, focused sound source. This configuration ensures precise phase alignment, maintaining consistent clarity and definition both on and off-axis, and resulting in excellent stereo imaging.
The FX80 V2 covers an extended frequency range from 35 Hz to 22 kHz, faithfully reproducing both deep bass and clear highs. The Class D amplifier delivers a total of 110 watts (60 watts for the bass range, 50 watts for the treble range) and thus offers sufficient power for loud, distortion-free reproduction. The integrated DSP regulates the transitions between high and low frequencies seamlessly and ensures a balanced overall reproduction.

The bass reflex design features a front slot port, efficiently enhancing low-end performance, allowing for flexible placement within the studio environment. To further support adaptability, a set of DIP switches on the rear panel enables users to tailor the monitor's response to different room acoustics. This is particularly useful when the speakers are positioned close to walls or used in rooms that are not optimally treated.
Another practical feature is the front-mounted LED display, which not only indicates the monitor's operational status, but also acts as an alignment reference to position the speakers optimally at ear level. The cabinet is made of robust, vinyl-coated MDF, which minimizes resonance and ensures structural stability. With its compact dimensions and a weight of around 7.9 kg, the FX80 V2 can be easily integrated into various studio setups, including Dolby Atmos configurations.
