The sophisticated Framus Vintage 05/024 Hootenanny 12-String Vintage Sunburst combines an exceptional look and sound.
Unique sound
The twelve strings produce a shimmering, voluminous carpet of sound, while the traditional fan bracing ensures dynamic tone development and gives the guitar impressive resonance. True premium features include the trapeze tailpiece, the sliding, height-adjustable bridge, and the solid body, which together produce a distinctive sound with a high level of projection. The tone is shaped by carefully selected tonewoods: a close-grained Sitka spruce top paired with sapele back and sides, creating an exceptionally balanced sound. A brilliant overtone spectrum blends perfectly with pronounced warmth in the bass and midrange. The result is not only a sonic experience but also a faithful companion for both stage and studio.
High playing comfort
Thanks to its ergonomically shaped round-shoulder dreadnought body, the instrument rests comfortably against the player and allows a relaxed posture even during extended playing sessions. The pleasantly grippy mahogany neck provides stability, while the finely crafted rosewood fingerboard ensures a smooth playing feel across the entire fretboard. A particular highlight is the 50 mm wide bone nut, which offers ample room for precise fingerwork and helps separate the strings cleanly from one another. Fingerstyle players and seasoned twelve-string enthusiasts will especially appreciate the thoughtful string spacing and playability. The playing experience is completed by closed nickel tuners, which are both reliable and tuning-stable, while also complementing the guitar’s vintage design.
