With the Friedman BE-MINI, the boutique manufacturer from Los Angeles sends a handy electric guitar amplifier into the race, which combines the legendary BE Preamp Circuit with a 30 watt power amp. Through the careful tuning of the solid state circuitry, the practical head delivers the British-inspired Brown Eye sound with lively dynamics and the typical midrange punch.

One channel with flexible tone control

Despite the single-channel design, the BE-MINI amp convinces with a surprisingly flexible sound spectrum of the noblest British nature, ranging from the extremely powerful clean tone to the mid-emphasized brown sound. Here, the cut switch determines the operating range of the gain control to precisely switch from Clean to crunch or Overdrive. To customize the sound, the BE-MINI amp offers the traditional 3-band tone stack and a three-position Tight switch that affects the output of the lowest frequencies.
