Sound and structure

The cocobolo body of the Red Deluxe Gc-LC impresses with an almost attack and creates a pleasant depth, to which the spruce top adds an additional bright note. The used Full-Pore High-Gloss finish further supports the tone quality. It consists of an ultra-thin layer of varnish, developed according to the latest technology for good protection and consistent sound. With its excellent sound characteristics, this guitar is versatile and enriches numerous genres and playing styles due to its excellent performance.

Playability

This Grand Auditorium guitar feels great in the hand thanks to its medium build and a soft 'V' neck profile. With a nut width of 44.45 mm, complex fingerings can be mastered easily, while the slim design provides optimal conditions for strumming and flatpicking. Even the high registers can be gripped easily due to the cutaway. Additional playability is provided by the ergonomic Bevel Duo, whose bevel on the top and bottom sides ensure a comfortable posture. Long playing sessions are no problem due to these features and a high tuning stability.

Electronics

For successful stage performances, the Red Deluxe Gc-LC features the L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system. Since the element sits inside the body, it is almost invisible and makes the guitar look absolutely natural. It has a volume control, a balance control and a phase switch for feedback suppression. This results in a loud, unadulterated sound that comes across well on stage and transmits all facets completely naturally. Who prefers the unadulterated, authentic sound of his guitar, is definitely well advised here.

Design

In addition to its excellent sound characteristics and uncomplicated playability, the guitar has an attractive appearance with numerous unusual details. Thus, by means of the binding made ofkoa and the bridge and fingerboard made of ziricote, emphasis was placed on exotic woods that skillfully stand out from the naturally kept top. The Pearl Roman Numerals inlays, the rosette made of koa and abalone as well as ebony tuners also make for a fancy appearance. The transparent pickguard is also well thought-out, protecting the material from scratches when playing with plectrums, but not interrupting the overall look of the guitar.
