Genelec 1238 APM

Active 3-way studio monitor with DSP filters

The Genelec 1238 is an active 3-way monitor that is ideal as a main monitor for mid-range music and post-production and guarantees extremely low distortion even at high levels. Thanks to the internal digital filters, the loudspeaker adapts acoustically to the conditions in the listening room. Control and automatic calibration are carried out via the GLM (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager) software. The Genelec 1238 can also be perfectly integrated into setups with other DSP models. The 3U RAM-L module (Remote Amplifier Module) is installed on the back of the loudspeaker. For wall mounting, it can be easily removed and mounted directly in a 19" rack with the supplied cover.


Suitable subwoofers for room volumes up to approx. 100 m³ are the 7370 for stereo applications or the 7271 for surround setups. Both extend the frequency response to 19 Hz.
