The UP 355 BK from Gewa is a superbly playable digital piano with a classic look and excellent sound characteristics. The 88-key Concert pianist keyboard with hammer action impresses with keys weighted in zones. The surface of the keys is covered with ivory-like coatings (Ivory Feel), giving the player a more grippy surface and significantly reducing slippage. With the newly designed control panel, all functions are at a glance and quickly at hand! Operating the and 355 is even easier with the help of the Gewa Piano Remote app, available free of charge for Android and iOS smart devices. Detailed setting options for string resonances, pedal resonances, hammerhead, tuning, keyboard behaviour allow interventions that only trained personnel could perform on a real piano.

Recording and sound playback

The two-track recording function records the playing in the internal memory as MIDI notes; this is helpful among other things to check yourself, but also to replace the third and fourth hand on the instrument. furthermore, an MP3 player is integrated in the and 355, which can play music from the USB stick and be included in the exercises. The built-in 2x 25 watt Class D speaker system from VISATON reproduces a good sound image even with quiet sounds. Two headphone outputs allow two people to play the instrument without disturbing others.

The functional scope of the and 355 BK also includes a Bluetooth interface that transmits audio and MIDI. So you can stream both directly to a computer with music software (DAW) for recording, use the digital piano as a wireless master keyboard or send the played sounds eg. to a hi-fi system. On top of that, audio and MIDI are also transmitted via USB. Thanks to the integrated, retractable keyboard cover, the keyboard remains protected from dust when not in use.
