The Gibson '57 Classic Humbucker is a PAF-style humbucker wrapped through and through according to a traditional recipe for neck and bridge position, creating classic vintage sounds. Accordingly, the '57 Classic consists of the same components in the form of Alnico II magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, maple spacers and of course a 2-wire "Vintage Braided" connection cable, while the coil winding of approx. 7 kOhm ensures a balanced output with lively dynamics. Gibson's '57 Classic is waxed to prevent unwanted microphonics and is ideal for both neck and bridge positions. For fans of hotter sounds the Gibson '57 Classic on the neck in combination with the hotter wound Gibson '57 Classic Plus on the bridge is recommended.
