The Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Washed Cherry Sunburst is a meticulously crafted tribute to the first iconic “Burst” model, delivering the authentic feel and tone of a late-'50s vintage electric guitar. True to tradition, the Gibson Custom Shop uses a solid mahogany body with a plain maple top and a glued-in mahogany neck carved into the bold “Chunky C” profile. Equipped with two Gibson Custombucker pickups and hand-wired electronics, this Les Paul delivers rich, vintage tones that are nearly indistinguishable from the legendary PAF humbuckers of the 1950s. The package is rounded off with period-correct hardware, including a No-Wire ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and Kluson tuners.

The Gibson Custom Shop uses a one-piece mahogany body paired with a plain maple top, while the long-tenon mahogany neck is set with hide glue for optimal tonal transfer. A 12" radiusIndian rosewood fingerboard with narrow frets completes the neck, providing a smooth yet substantial vintage playing experience. The deep Chunky C-shaped profile offers the authentic grip guitarists expect from a true '58 reissue.

Tone comes from a pair of Gibson Custombuckers, designed as faithful PAF replicas with Alnico III magnets and unwaxed coils. These pickups produce a vibrant vintage voice, delivering everything from warm cleans to gritty overdrive with velvety lows, singing mids, and sparkling highs – ideal for blues, jazz, and classic rock. The hand-wired control setup features CTS potentiometers, individual volume and tone knobs, and oil paper capacitors, enabling smooth treble roll-off and tonal precision.
Six Kluson vintage-style tuners with authentic single-line barrels and single-ring pianos guarantee precise and stable tuning.
