The Custom Shop faithfully follows the historical specifications, crafting the guitar with a one-piece mahogany body, curly maple top, and mahogany neck with a long neck heel. Hide glue and a thin Nitro finish ensure free resonance and long sustain. The moderately shaped “Authentic ’59 Medium C” neck profile, combined with the typical 12" radius rosewood fingerboard, provides exceptional playability. At the amplifier, two Gibson Custombuckers deliver the classic PAF tone, with a singing mid-range and lively dynamics that form the perfect foundation for blues and rock licks and riffs. Historically accurate and reliable hardware including an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic-bridge, aluminum stopbar and Kluson Deluxe tuners completes the Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Iced Tea Burst.
