The Gibson Limited Edition 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Patch Burst features a rare burst finish that recreates the fading of the brand new Cherry Sunburst in the shop windows of many 1950s guitar stores. A stain in deep Cherry-Red below the toggle switch marks the area that was protected from the sun and could not fade to Iced Tea. The Gibson Custom Shop relies on the historically correct '59 specifications. Accordingly, the electric guitar has a light mahogany body with a stylish fiddleback maple top and a one-piece mahogany neck with a long neck base and rosewood fingerboard. The use of Hide-Glue also guarantees a particularly lively sound, while the C-shaped "'59 Historic Reissue" profile, which is not too powerful, convinces with optimum playing characteristics. The Gibson Custombucker pickups placed on the neck and bridge also guarantee authentic vintage sounds in the style of the legendary PAFs. Equipped with Alnico III magnets, they deliver airy sounds with warm mids and organic dynamics. Historically correct hardware in the form of aluminum stopbars, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and Kluson Deluxe Single Band/Single Ring tuners completes the Gibson Limited Edition 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Patch Burst.
