With the Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Royal Teaburst, the Gibson Custom Shop presents a historically correct new edition of the probably most legendary "'Burst" Les Paul, which, due to its unique sound, is regarded as the Stradivari of the electric guitar. Accordingly, the electric guitar, held in the traditional singlecut design, has a body made of particularly light mahogany, while the solid maple top is characterized by an intense flame. Glued with a long neck foot and hide-glue, the one-piece mahogany neck not only supports sound development and sustain, but with the "Authentic '59 Medium C" profile also lies extremely comfortably in the hand, so that classical and modern playing techniques are optimally supported. On the guitar amp, two Gibson Custombuckers with Alnico III magnets provide absolutely authentic PAF sounds with airy dynamics and singing mids, whose metier is the classic clean and overdrive sounds of blues and rock. On the hardware side, the Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Royal Teaburst is also historically correctly equipped and features Kluson Deluxe tuners with authentic single-band wings and Ted McCarty's established combination of ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stopbar.
