For example, the Gibson Custom Shop relies on a solid mahogany body with generous resonance chambers that are closed off by a curved mahogany top. The mahogany neck, glued according to the traditional method, with its slim "Slim C-Shape" profile also offers comfortable playing characteristics for classic blues and rock techniques. On the guitar amplifier, two Gibson Custom P-90 single coils provide a richly varied sound image that skillfully transports the resonant sound characteristics of the semi-acoustic construction to the amplifier, while at the same time offering a concise midrange spectrum and lively dynamics.
