Authentic reproduction of the 68 Les Paul of Boston -guitarist Tom Scholz

The Collector's Choice #10 Gibson Tom Scholz 1968 Les Paul is an authentic reproduction of the striking Les Paul Boston guitarist's work on stage and in the Studio studio for some time now. Accordingly, the electric Singlecut guitar has not only a "naked" maple top, but also the particularly variable equipment with a Gibson P-90 on the neck and a DiMarzio Super Distortion on the bridge. In addition, the proven Mahagnoi construction with one-piece body and neck with long Neck tenon is used, while authentic Hardware ones in the form of an Tune -O-Matic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece and Schaller M6 tuners complete the equipment of the Gibson Collector's Choice #10.

The original 1968 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop Deluxe was extensively modified by Tom Scholz until it received its striking appearance. Accordingly, the Gibson Collector's Choice "naked" maple top is also available, while the neck and body are made of one piece mahogany as usual. The use of Long Neck Tenon and Hot Hide Glue guarantees a balanced, lively sound development with endless sustain. Last but not least, the neck profile of the " Scholz Neck " was copied exactly, so that the Original playing feeling is indistinguishable.

Equipped with a Alnico III magnet, the pickup convinces with its lively dynamics and the fat midrange spectrum, which generates an enormous assertiveness. The DiMarzio Super Distortion am Steg, on the other hand, is not regarded for nothing as the forefather of all High Output Humbucker and delivers a fat sound that enables creamy leads as well as tight rhythm work.
