Gibson Flying V 2018 Aged Cherry

The Gibson Flying V 2018 Aged Cherry is a 6-string electric guitar featuring a mahogany body and neck, a torrefied granadillo fingerboard and an aged cherry finish. This new Flying V for 2018 features the famous body shape adopted by the likes of Billy Gibbons, Kirk Hammett, Joe Perry, and Jimi Hendrix among others. Built with a lightweight mahogany body that delivers a warm characteristic with high end shine for solos, this Flying V features a slim taper mahogany neck and smooth torrefied granadillo fingerboard for a highly comfortable performance, sparkling highs and a thick low-end response.

Burstbucker pickups offer a high output for producing an incredible power and sonic punch for rock'n'roll classic tones. The medium output of the neck Burstbucker 2 pickup combines well with the high output of the bridge’s Burstbucker 3 pickup. Equipped with asymmetrical coils that are designed to be true to the original PAFs, these pickups supply a more open response than standard humbuckers for a truly vintage sound. An aluminium Tune-O-Matic bridge offers solid string stability, whilst a Tektoid nut enhances harmonics in the highs and mids.
