With the Hummingbird Original HCS Lefthand Gibson presents a proven acoustic guitar for left-handers with pickup system. This model was first produced in the 1960s and achieved the status of an absolute classic. Numerous advantageous features contribute to a distinctive sound, while appealing decorations and the sunburst color gradient provide an attractive appearance. Structure and Sound

The Gibson Hummingbird Original HCS Lefthand is a dreadnought that produces an assertive sound due to its large rosewood body. This is supported by a top made of Sitka spruce, which adds a bright note to the tone. The body is also equipped with a pickguard, which protects the surface from damage when playing with picks. Due to its materials and advantageous construction, this acoustic guitar is an absolute all-rounder. With its nut width of 43.8 mm, it is an ideal choice for both flatpicking and strumming and enriches numerous genres with its wide range of applications.

Pickup system

For a sound-assured stage performance, the instrument has an L.R.Baggs VTC pickup system, which can be operated via a control in the sound hole. The volume can thus be optimally adjusted to the environment and individual preferences. At the same time, the sound remains natural and allows for an authentic, unadulterated performance.

Appearance

Various visual details as well as the Heritage Cherry Sunburst color gradient enrich the left-handed guitar with an attractive appearance, which enhance it enormously. The ornate pickguard, Mother-of-Pearl Crown inlays with brass edging and gold-plated tuners give it a both playful and classy character that completes the stage set.
