With the new Gibson J-45 Studio Walnut WB, the American traditional manufacturer expands its affordable studio edition and a fully solid round-shoulder model that offers a warm sound and a traditional appearance as well as the possibility of an amplified use. A Sitka spruce top paired with a walnut body unleashes a fast-responding tone that's especially pronounced in the bass and midrange frequencies, perfect for strumming. For easy playability, the manufacturer relies on a flat mahogany neck with a walnut fingerboard that is comfortable to play at all 20 frets thanks to an Advanced Response profile. A 43,81 mm wide nut made of TUSQ and a compensated bridge inlay guarantee a clean intonation on the whole scale length of 628,65 mm and stand for the great craftsmanship of the manufacturer. Precise Grover Rotomatic nickel tun ers are set into the characteristic headstock and round off the instrument perfectly in combination with the typical trussrod cover and a tortoise pickguard. The Gibson J-45 Studio Walnut WB acoustic guitar comes with a molded case and a Gibson accessory kit.

So happy with my J45 Studio. Beautiful looking guitar, excellent finish and craftsmanship. Sounds super and really comfortable to play. I would have liked if the strap button had been fitted to save me the stress of drilling my new guitar 😂 Guitar was not due until January 2022 but arrived over a month early so delighted with that. Would highly recommend.
A very well-made and full-sounding guitar. I really fell for the low end, the deep bass layer underneath the bright sound. It also has more volume than most other acoustics. The sound is very clear and balanced. Perhaps it could be a bit warmer to make it perfect. It’s also surprisingly lightweight, which is especially surprising considering the heavy sound. The one real downside is that the way the internal battery case for the active pickup is mounted is not very solid, but a luthier or guitar maintenance person can easily remedy that (at least they did for me). I also feel that the side corners of the nut at the top of the neck could be rounded a bit more for comfort. Then again, the rounding at the back where the neck meets the headstock is the most comfortable I have ever felt.
