The Gibson Kirk Douglas Signature SG Inverness Green is based on the famous SG Custom used by the virtuoso guitarist of the legendary hip-hop group The Roots live and on The Tonight Show.
Painted in a stylish Inverness Green nitro finish, the electric guitar naturally follows classic SG construction with a mahogany body and glued mahogany neck. The slim slim-taper neck profile with 43 mm nut width and the 12" radius of the rosewood fingerboard also convey agile playing characteristics.
At the guitar amplifier the electric guitar equipped with three Gibson Burstbuckers turns out to be a true all-rounder, to which no genre is alien. While the neck and bridge pickups are controlled as usual by 3-way switches and separate volume controls, a third volume control allows for stepless mixing of the middle pickup in any switch position. The master volume on the pickguard and the master tone control are available for adjusting the general sound. In addition, each burstbucker of the Gibson Kirk Douglas Signature SG Inverness Green can be split separately to a single-coil with transparent sound. Last but not least, a Gibson Lyre-Tail Vibrola with "Captain" engraving, a Nashville Tune-O-Matic made of aluminum and Grover Rotomatics with keystone wings complete the Kirk Douglas Signature SG Inverness Green by Gibson.
