With the L-00 12 Fret Rosewood 2018 Gibson presents a worthy successor of the legendary L-00 from the 1930s, because here Oldshool character meets high-end touch. The Gibson L-00 12 Fret Rosewood 2018 comes in a limited edition and features a solid Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. In combination with the small L-00 body, the result is a centered, focused sound, which will certainly please fans of the blues and fingerstyler. The shortened scale length of 635mm and a neck transition at the twelfth fret provide a lower string tension, which in turn results in an extremely pleasantly soft playability.
A fretboard with a saddle width of 44.5mm leaves plenty of room for exuberant fingerstyle and the classic V-neck profile is very comfortable to hold. The gold-plated Grover Open Gear tuners provide tuning stability, while a compensated bridge inlay made of Graph Tech TUSQ provides clean intonation and a flat string position. The L.R. Baggs VTC pickup transmits the sound of the L-00 standard lifelike and with high dynamics. Last but not least, a suitcase is already included.
