The Gibson Les Paul Standard 2018 Heritage Cherry Sunburst is a 6-string electric guitar featuring a maple top, a mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fingerboard and a heritage cherry sunburst finish. This new Les Paul Standard for 2018 features an ultra-modern weight relief chambered body for extra comfort and an enhanced resonance. Built with a mahogany body topped with AAA flamed maple that provides a stylish tiger stripe effect, this Les Paul Standard features an asymmetrical slim taper mahogany neck and smooth rosewood fingerboard for an ergonomically-correct profile, incredibly bright characteristic, enhanced highs, and an open midrange.

A set of powerful BurstBucker Pro pickups are designed to recapture the magic of the original PAF humbuckers from the 50s, constructed with alnico V magnets to provide a high output allowing preamps to be driven hard. Featuring asymmetrical coils, the Pro Rhythm is wound slightly less than the original PAFs, whilst the Pro Lead is slightly overwound for an increase in output. Independent tone and volume controls provide players with excellent tonal shaping, along with a toggle switch for a range of powerful tonal options. An aluminium Tune-o-Matic bridge and locking kidney tuning machines offer solid string stability, whilst a Tektoid nut enhances harmonics in the highs and mids.
