The Gibson Les Paul Standard 2019 is without doubt the most famous guitar model of the renowned US-American manufacturer and combines the classic Les Paul design with modern playing comfort. Traditionally made of mahogany and finished with a maple top, the body of the Gibson Les Paul Standard 2019 offers the ultra-modern Weight Relief for the ideal weight point of the instrument on the strap, while the asymmetric Slim Taper profile offers the best thumb rest for fat chorus as well as filigree lead playing. Last but not least, two tuned Burstbucker pickups with an extensive HP-4 High Performance Circuit provide appropriate sounds in all areas of use.
Under the nitrocellulose finish of the Gibson Les Paul Standard 2019 is the Paula construction made from a mahogany body and a two-piece curly maple top in AAA quality, manufactured according to a proven recipe. As part of the Ultra Modern Weight Relief, the mass of the mahogany body has been specifically reduced at certain points to make the weight and balance of the Les Paul Standard 2019 as ideal as possible.
The two Gibson Burstbucker Pro Rhythm and Lead Humbucker in neck and bridge position are not only tuned to each other, but also offer all imaginable sounds of the double humbucker setup thanks to extensive HP-4 high performance electronics. DIP switches in the Les Paul's e-slot can be used to assign the functions of all four push/pull potentiometers, making classic coil split sounds or a calibrated coil tap available for each pickup, for example.
The attachments of the Les Paul Standard 2019 are based on the classic design of 1957 with a Nashville Tune-o-Matic bridge and aluminium stop bar for direct resonance transmission into the body and easily accessible adjustment options for intonation and string position. Six Grover Locking Rotomatics are used on the headstock, which, thanks to the locking function, manage with far fewer string windings.
