Traditionally built Les Paul
The Les Paul Standard ’50s emphasizes an authentic playing feel and natural vintage sound. The solid mahogany body is topped with curly maple, and the glued mahogany neck features a “Vintage 50s” profile under the Sixties Cherry finish. The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and rounded neck make it ideal for classic blues and rock playing techniques.
Gibson Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 Alnico II humbuckers with PAF genes promise authentic blues and rock sounds with a vintage touch.
Gibson Burstbucker pickups
This model is equipped with a set of popular Burstbucker pickups, inspired by the legendary PAF humbuckers. Alnico II magnets and unpaired coils produce airy, vintage tones with a vocal midrange and lively dynamics. The more powerful bridge pickup drives harmonic overdrive from the amplifier with well-controlled assertiveness. A hand-wired circuit with individual volume and tone controls for each pickup and Orange Drop capacitors allows precise tonal adjustment.
Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone flights keep the Les Paul Standard '50s securely in tune.
Vintage-style hardware
Gibson equips the Les Paul Standard ’50s with tried-and-tested hardware from the 1950s. The lightweight aluminum stopbar guides the strings over the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, ensuring accurate intonation and comfortable string action. At the headstock, strings pass over a Graph Tech nut to the vintage Deluxe tuners with single-ring keystone wings, providing stable tuning while completing the historic look.
