Gibson SG Special Walnut

The Gibson SG Special Walnut is a six-string electric guitar from the 2014 Gibson range, appealing to most budgets without compromising on high-quality build, playability or sound. Featuring a stripped-down finish and chrome-covered pickups, this SG Special sports a special 120th Anniversary inlay.

The Gibson SG Special Walnut is made with a traditional mahogany body cut into the famous offset-double-cutaway “double-horned” SG design. This body is thin and lightweight with bevelled edges for extra comfort and has a stripped-down finish. The neck is maple and cut to a slim 1960s profile. The fingerboard is rosewood and has 24 frets with trapezoid inlays and a 120th anniversary banner inlays on the 12th fret.

The Gibson SG Special Walnut model is equipped with one 490R pickup and one 490T pickup, both chrome covered with designated volume and tone control knobs in the new black max grip speed design for added control whilst playing. The hardware is chrome and the tuners are a classic Vintage-style. The Gibson SG Special Walnut has no scratch plate, which, combined with the stripped down finish give this guitar a simplicity that is smart and attractive.
