The year 1958 marked a turning point in the history of the legendary electric Gibson Les Paul guitar, as transparent Burst finishes were applied to the still plain maple tops for the first time in this model year. Thus the vintage '58 marks the transition to the legendary Bursts, which are sought-after collector's items today. With the Gibson Standard VOS Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Sunrise Tea Burst , the Custom Shop American manufacturer now presents an authentic replica of these legendary electric guitars, which are faithfully oriented to their ancestor.

The neck and body are connected by means of long Neck tenon and bone glue.

Authentic "1958 Standard Historic " Specifications

As Les Paul befits a "1958 Standard Historic " specification, the Gibson Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard one-piece mahogany body of the maple top carries a two-piece " Plain Maple " maple top, which is accentuated by the transparent Sunrise Tea Burst nitrocellulose finish. In addition, the one-piece mahogany neck is glued into the body with long Neck tenon and bone glue (hot hide glue), creating a perfect connection for optimum resonance transmission.

The pickups used on the Gibson Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard two Custom Buckers are from the Collector's Choice program and are confusingly similar to the legendary PAFs in the Klangcharaker. Accordingly, the pickups deliver authentic Vintage Humbucker sounds with warm, vocal mids and a transparent treble spectrum. In addition, the pickups are characterized by a lively dynamic that puts the control over the sound in the hands of the player.
