The quirky body design of the Gretsch Custom Shop G6199 Reversed Billy Bo Jupiter Thunderbird is crafted from solid mahogany to create proven sounds with classic response. Finished with a maple laminate top, the body features a two-ply Binding and black and white finish and the classic Gretsch G logo on the top tail fin, while a tasteful Gretsch Orange Nitro-Finish with Relic treatment adds to the instrument's cohesive look.

This is composed of two pieces of finest figured maple and an additional locking strip and presents an impressive grain with three-dimensional flame. Thanks to the classic standard neck carve, the usual Gretsch playability sets in, which is noticeable from headstock to neck heel on the 22-fret rosewood fretboard.
