With the English rock band The Cult, founding member and guitarist Billy Duffy achieved legendary status in the early 80s/90s and had a lasting influence on the post-punk scene. The influence of psychedelic elements in combination with goth and hard rock made The Cult a unique band, paving the way for all sub-genres. To mark the 40th anniversary of The Cult, Billy Duffy has been given a signature model from Gretsch, which not only stands out with its beautiful design, but is also intended to convey the sound and attitude of his style. The hollow-body guitar is equipped with two Filter'Tron pickups, which enable the incomparable Billy Duffy sound, while the combination of golden hardware and the vintage white finish conveys a great look.

The back and top of the Gretsch G8424TG Billy Duffy Falcon VintageWhite are made of laminated maple, while the glued maple neck completes the instrument. In addition to the nitrocellulose finish, the body and headstock were complemented with a gold glitter binding with white/black/white inlays, which stands out as a beautiful detail. The 22-fret ebony fingerboard with a 12" radius allows for comfortable handling and practical playability - the fretboard is also adorned with Pearloid Big Block inlays.

The Custom Wound Black Top Filter'Tron pickups installed in the neck and bridge position deliver a defined sound that is characterized by crystal-clear highs and crisp mids. In combination with the hollowbody construction, the pickups also provide sufficient low-end, giving the Gretsch G8424TG Billy Duffy Falcon a saturated sound. The electric guitar is also equipped with a 3-way switch for controlling the pickups as well as two separate pickup volume controls and a master volume control. There is also a 3-position tone switch for versatile sound coloration.
