The Gretsch S1-0514-MMG Full Range Mahogany/Maple Snare 14 "x5" combines the best of two sound worlds - the warm depth of mahogany with the articulate punch of maple. The 16-ply hybrid shell produces a powerful, defined response with a strong Attack and a subtle dark undertone that cuts through a wide variety of musical styles. The sharply cut 30° rim ensures a fast response, brilliant rimshot feel and a precise sound - ideal for modern grooves with character. The snare is equipped with 2.5 mm triple flange hoops, high-quality Tilco snare wires and the new full range lift-off. The elegant gloss finish rounds off the appearance and makes it a highlight in any set, not only in terms of sound but also visually.
