The Groove Tubes GT-6V6-S beam pentode is an absolute classic that can be found in numerous power amps from Fender amplifiers and makes a significant contribution to the unmistakable sound character of these amps. Compared to the similarly constructed 6L6, the 6V6 offers a lower gain, which makes it easier to drive the tube into saturation. In terms of sound, it produces warm and round sounds with a soft response, which makes the 6V6 the ideal tube for jazz, Blues and rock recording amplifiers.
