With the all solid Guild F 40 Traditional ATB, the traditional American manufacturer presents one of its classic jumbo models, which first appeared in the 1950s and has been one of the most popular models in the Guild family ever since. The huge design consisting of a Sitka spruce top and a mahogany body produces warm bass and defined mid-range frequencies that develop fully with fast attack thanks to a scalloped bracing made of adirondack spruce and a wafer-thin nitro finish. A flat mahogany neck with a walnut center strip and a "C" profile allows a clean grip in all 20 frets, which in combination with the 43 mm nut width offers enough space to master even more extensive chords and fingering patterns. In addition to a compensated bone saddle, the manufacturer uses a fine-notched bone nut to guarantee clean intonation over the entire scale length of 651 mm. Open nickel tuners with a 1:20 ratio allow precise tuning of the 6 strings and give the richly decorated headstock additional luster. The instrument is rounded off with an eye-catching Antique Sunburst finish, forming a fine transition to the tonewoods used. The Guild F 40 Traditional ATB comes with a case and a hand-signed certificate of authenticity.
