Signature guitar of the Nameless Ghouls from Ghost
The Hagstrom Fantomen Cosmic Black Burst was developed in close collaboration with the Swedish occult rockers from Ghost and immediately catches the eye with its sleek retro design. But the Nameless Ghouls' signature guitar also makes quite an impression in terms of sound and handling. The classic set-neck construction with extra-flat mahogany body and "Slim D" mahogany neck not only creates the basis for an extremely powerful sound, but also for excellent playing characteristics right up to the highest positions of the obligatory Resinator fingerboard. On the guitar amplifier, split Lundgren Design No. 2 and No. 5 humbuckers provide diabolical Overdrive sounds with razor-sharp articulation and ethereal cleans. Of course, Hagstrom completes the Fantomen Signature guitar with professional Hardware in the form of a Long Travel Tune-O-Matic bridge with matching tailpiece and tuning-stable die-cat tuners.
The Hagstrom Fantomen Cosmic Black Burst was designed together with the Nameless Ghouls from Ghost and convinces with first-class playing characteristics and devilishly good rock sounds.
The glued mahogany neck has a comfortable "Slim D" profile thanks to the H-expander truss rod.
Set-neck construction with 25.5" scale length
Behind the sleek modern Retro design of the Hagstrom Fantomen Cosmic BlackBurst lies a classic set-neck construction with a dop-tuning-friendly 25.5" scale length (648 mm), which, together with the pleasantly flat mahogany body and the glued mahogany neck, forms the basis for the extremely powerful and responsive sound. Thanks to the obligatory and stable H-expander truss rod, the "Slim D" neck profile is also particularly slim and comfortable, so that every riff and solo on the 22-fret Resinator Wood fingerboard can be played with diabolical ease.
Lundgren Design No. 2 and No. 5 humbuckers on the guitar amplifier provide a variety of rock sounds of the highest quality.
Lundgren Design Humbucker
For the electric sound conversion of the Hagstrom Fantomen, the Nameless Ghouls choose two humbuckers that were developed by Swedish pickup pope Johan Lundgren with a focus on devilishly good rock sounds. Equipped with Alnico II and Alnico V magnets, respectively, the Lundgren Design No. 2 and No. 5 humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions give the guitar amplifier plenty of steam and elicit an extremely fat, yet razor-sharp Distortion for whipping riffs and diabolical solos. Thanks to the individual coil split option, the Fantomen guitar also delivers angelic single coil sounds for glassy cleans and a dynamic, singing overdrive. Another useful detail is the treble bleed circuit on each volume pot, which prevents unwanted treble loss when the volume is reduced.
Hagstrom die-cast machine heads with stepped wings keep the Fantomen reliably in tune.
Professional hardware equipment
Naturally, Hagstrom completes the Fantomen Cosmic BlackBurst guitar with professional add-on parts that also impress on the road with their unshakeable functionality and reliability. While the classic stopbar promises a bombproof hold of the strings, the extra-long adjustment travel of the long-travel Tune-O-Matic bridge guarantees precise intonation and string action, even when powerful string sets and abysmal tunings are used. On the headstock in reverse Hagstrom design, the particularly fine 18:1 ratio of the Hagstrom tuners also ensures precise and robust tuning.

Action was a bit high out of the box, but it was easily setup, no fret buzz. Fretwork seems very good, only some small scuffmarks on the neck binding. Pickups sound good, really like the mirror pickguard.
