
The Hermida Dover Drive is a very velocity-sensitive distortion device that ranges from overdrive to fuzz, depending on the setting. Thanks to its unique circuitry, it creates sounds between Billy Gibbons, Eric Johnson and David Gilmore, to name but a few.
The original goal of the designers was to create a kind of solo boost, a singing and creamy sound. But with the Dover Drive, much more is possible. Smooth enough for jazz and crisp enough for progressive rock, but also fat enough for blues. The good interaction with the guitar's volume potentiometer creates a multitude of tonal possibilities.
