Considering it’s price point this little Bass punches well above it’s weight, fit and finish is spot on with really tidy fret work. The roundwound strings fitted again are way better than I expected and makes the Bass very versatile but being a Hofner I fitted some La Bella low tension flats which really makes it sound like you’d expect a Hofner to sound, bouncy and rubbery, it really nails Macca’s Beatle tone.
I only marked it down on operation because of the placement of the vol/tone knobs as they get in the way when palm muting using a pick, other than that I’m really pleased with my purchase.
I really didn't know what to expect, I took a chance and it's fab. Super sound, looks good, comfortable to play. We'll pleased, it's my go-to bass now.
Shop service good, it came from Germany, but tracked all the way. Excellent condition and service. Very pleased I bought it.
