The Human Base Max 5 Olive Burl is an elaborately handcrafted noble five-string instrument that not only impresses with the breathtaking appearance of its immaculate wood selection, but also with its first-class bass sounds, which also reproduce the low B string tightly and precisely defined. Accordingly, Human Base relies on a five-piece, continuous neck made of birdseye maple and walnut, to which corpus wings made of maple are glued. The top and headstock glued olive burl tuber give the look a breathtaking look, while the "D" neck profile creates optimum playing conditions across the entire ebony fingerboard. In addition, two Delano SBC 5 HE/S-4 pickups and an active 3-band tone control developed by Glockenklang especially for the bass take over the electric tone conversion of the Human Base Max 5. Last but not least the Human Base Max 5 Olive Burl is equipped with precise Kluson Compact Bass tuners and Human Base Mono Rails.
The heart of the Human Base Max 5 Olive Burl's construction is undoubtedly the continuous, five-piece neck made of birdseye maple and walnut, which has enormous stability and, in conjunction with the corpus wings made of maple, supports the even, finely articulated sound development of all strings. The flat "D" neck profile lies comfortably in the hand, so that the electric bass offers optimum playing characteristics over the entire ebony fingerboard. Last but not least, the ceiling and the head plate glue made of olive burl tuber turn into an absolute eye-catcher.
Two Delano SBC 5 HE/S-4 Quad-Coil pickups are used as pickups on the human base. With their full, open sound, they reproduce every note finely articulated from the H to the G string, with tight basses, airy mids and a brilliant overtone spectrum providing an angelic voice. In addition, an active Human Base by Glockenklang 3-band tone control is available, whose musical tuning allows a precise adjustment of the sound character. By dragging the push/pull volume control, the electric bass can also be played in passive mode, where the treble control becomes a passive treble fader.
In addition, the Human Base Max 5 Olive Burl has a high-quality and professional hardware equipment, which convinces with unlimited reliability. Behind the zero waistband and the ebony saddle, five Kluson Compact bass tuners on the headstock guarantee precise and stable tuning. Human Base Mono Rails on the body also support the even sound development of the instrument, with optimum adjustment of intonation and string position.
